You Can't Take It With You

I have been neglecting my blog. As soon as I returned to Idaho, I jumped right back into all the same crazy things I was involved in before we left. Derek and I were involved in the Community play this year. When I say involved, I mean we were crazy enough to take the leads. The play was called You Can't Take it With You, and we finished up on March 15th. I waited to post because I had some other things going on which I'm sure I'll post about later. Alice (my character) tells her family that she is dating a rich young man who is coming to call.

Tony (Derek's Character) tells everyone about his job as a vice-president of his father's company.

"Here I am, a vision in blue," says Alice. It's not a very flattering picture, but I was able to dress up in a pretty 1930's formal dress. (ps, I don't think I'll EVER sew satin again)

Mr Kirby decides to stay, and so does Alice.

To get ready for my role, I tried doing my hair up in pin curls. My sister Natalie helped me, It took about 3 hours to do, then an extra 4 hours to dry. We did it the old fashioned way without heat.

I have always been told that I look like my mother who was always told that she looked like her mother. My Grandma Casdorph always wore her hair in curlers unless she was out and about. Nat and I were amazed at the resemblance.
